Kelly Clarkson Performs AOL® Music LIVE! Concert: Sunday, July 17 at UCF Arena in Orlando, FL
Business Wire, July 15, 2005
NEW YORK -- Hot on the heels of their successful streaming of the Live 8 concerts, AOL(R) Music will broadcast chart-topper Kelly Clarkson's July 17 performance at UCF Arena in Orlando, FL. The performance will be broadcast live online at www.aolmusic.com at 8:30 PM ET. In addition to watching the live broadcast, fans can tune in to hear a simultaneous audio broadcast on the AOL(R) Radio Network or watch the performance on demand following the live event.
"Kelly Clarkson is one of our most popular artists on AOL Music and we are thrilled to have her perform this AOL Music LIVE concert," said Jack Isquith, Executive Director of Music Industry Relations for AOL Music. "2005 has been a breakout year for Kelly, as we have seen her mature into a true star. We look forward to working with her closely as her career continues to grow."
This performance by Kelly Clarkson follows the success of recent AOL Music LIVE! concerts by Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, and Kanye West among others. AOL Music LIVE! has also featured performances by Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart, Usher, Nelly, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte, Josh Groban and Foo Fighters. Months after the live events, individual original performances from these concerts consistently appear on AOL Music's weekly Top 11 charts, often outpacing the traditional music videos for the same songs. Select AOL Music LIVE! events also air in 2,600 Wal-Mart stores nationwide through AOL's relationship with the world's largest retailer.
Fresh off her sold-out "The Breakaway Tour," the unstoppable Kelly Clarkson recently kicked off her "The Hazel Eyes Tour." The tour, which hits 44 cities across the US and Canada, is in support of her nearly triple-platinum sophomore album Breakway. Featuring hits such as "Since You Been Gone" and "Behind These Hazel Eyes," Breakway has remained a Billboard Top 20 staple since its November 2004 release.
AOL Music is the leading online destination for music, reaching more than 25.9 million music fans a month(1) through a rich array of programming, products and services that make it easy to discover, experience, listen to and buy music online.
