Frost & Sullivan Recognizes Eigen for Customer Value in Digital Image Capture and Distribution Markets
Business Wire, July 20, 2005
BOSTON -- Frost & Sullivan will present Eigen with the 2005 Customer Value Enhancement Award at tonight's third annual Customer Value Enhancement Awards Banquet for the company's success in augmenting and strengthening digital image capture and distribution during cardiovascular and fluoroscopic imaging procedures.
"For three decades, Eigen has been improving the work of clinicians around the world and contributing to customers' experience through flexible, easy-to-use solutions that improve clinical workflows and operational efficiencies," says Frost & Sullivan senior industry analyst Katherine Shariq. "Initially focused on cardiovascular slow-motion disk-based video systems, it has since expanded into producing a suite of digitally integrated healthcare solutions."
With products used in almost 4,000 hospitals, Eigen's digital solutions are part of a wide range of cardiovascular imaging and fluoroscopic procedures. The company's Echo DICOM interface converts echocardiography analog images to digital images, which are digitally transmitted to its acquisition module, referred to as the Echo ViewStation and archived onto an Echo EigenNet picture archiving and communications system (PACS).
Within the fluoroscopy arena, Eigen provides innovative digital capture and hold capabilities through its Digital Fluoro Loop (DFL) series of products. Its Digital Processor Interface (DPI) helps covert analog data into digital images enabling physicians to view fluoroscopic images digitally. Embedded algorithms in Eigen's DFL solutions enhance the physician's ability to diagnose and treat patients through fluoro looping and guide shot capabilities.
Eigen has uniquely incorporated live fluoro digital subtraction angiography into the DFL series, which minimizes x-ray exposure to both the patient and hospital staff when performing difficult procedures and navigating tortuous vessels.
Eigen typically makes products available through partnerships with leading integrated original equipment manufacturers of cardiovascular and fluoroscopic imaging systems.
In recognition of its contribution to improved clinical efficiencies through digital image capture and distribution during cardiovascular and fluoroscopic imaging procedures, Frost & Sullivan is pleased to present Eigen with the 2005 Digital Image Capture & Distribution Customer Value Enhancement Award.
Frost & Sullivan presents this Award to the company that has demonstrated the ability to expand its customer base while maintaining its existing installed base, using more innovative value creation and enhancement strategies than competitors in its industry. The Award lauds successful sales entry, customer acquisition and service strategies, and the degree to which those strategies have met customers' stated needs and requirements.
Held in Boston, Frost & Sullivan's Customer Value Enhancement Awards Banquet honors world-class companies for their outstanding performance and achievements in customer care. An annual event, the banquet recognizes innovative developments that will significantly improve customer interaction and contribute to customer satisfaction.
