GraphOn Expands GO-Global Thin Client Reach in Brazil; GraphOn and ARC SYSTEM Sign Reseller Agreement
Business Wire, July 20, 2005
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- In a further expansion of its international value-added reseller (VAR) program, GraphOn Corp. (OTCBB:GOJO), a leading developer of cross-platform application publishing and Web-enabling software, today announced that it has signed a VAR agreement with ARC SYSTEM to distribute the GO-Global family of thin client, server-centric solutions in Brazil.
With headquarters in Sao Paulo, ARC SYSTEM sells information technology solutions throughout Brazil, with a major focus on large financial and governmental organizations.
"We firmly believe that GO-Global is the right product at the right time for the Brazilian market," said Alexandre Jose Prado Silva, president of ARC SYSTEM. "Due to our governmental orientation -- and a general market trend toward open software solutions -- GO-Global's ability to integrate Linux applications with Windows desktops makes it a smart and competitive alternative to traditional server-based computing products."
The GO-Global family includes GO-Global for UNIX, which makes UNIX and Linux applications available on Windows desktops without the need for local X server software, and GO-Global for Windows, which makes Windows applications available on UNIX and Linux desktops without the need for Citrix or Windows Terminal Services. GO-Global requires no changes to the published applications, while retaining all of the features, functionality and branding.
"We look forward to a long and successful partnership with ARC," said Mike Ruggeri, GraphOn regional sales manager. "The company has established a solid reputation in the Brazilian marketplace, and we believe that this VAR agreement represents an excellent growth opportunity for both companies."
