OSI Consulting Named an Authorized U.S. Reseller of the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform
Business Wire, July 21, 2005
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. -- OSI Consulting, a technology consulting and services firm serving Global 2000 companies, medium-sized businesses and developing organizations, today announced an agreement with BEA Systems (NASDAQ: BEAS) to resell the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform(TM), which includes the BEA WebLogic Server(R), BEA WebLogic Integration(TM), BEA WebLogic Portal(TM) and BEA WebLogic Workshop(TM).
OSI Consulting's dedicated BEA practice, expertise in the manufacturing and retail vertical industries and established network in the Western United States complement the existing BEA sales channel.
OSI delivers and maintains the applications and service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions that leading companies can use to compete in an information-driven marketplace. BEA provides the enterprise software foundation designed to help enable customers to benefit from service-oriented architectures through greater re-use of IT assets, faster delivery of value to the business and greater adaptability to support ongoing change.
As a BEA Value-Added Reseller, OSI Consulting can provide customers with differentiated solutions designed to save time and money by leveraging existing and future IT assets and provide access to information while helping to eliminate unnecessary complexity.
"OSI has had a SOA practice focused specifically on BEA products for several years, and as such, is excited to extend its relationship with BEA by reselling the WebLogic Enterprise Platform," said Michael Javier, vice president of sales, OSI Consulting. "Our customers with fragmented environments are requesting BEA products by name, as they can use them to help maximize the effectiveness of their business processes and their return on technology investment. They know that OSI Consulting and BEA have solutions designed to help deliver the kind of results they want."
"We're pleased OSI Consulting is expanding the reach of its solutions practice by reselling the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform," said Robert Ontiveros, senior vice president of Americas Channels and Alliances for BEA Systems. "OSI Consulting's expertise complements the BEA application infrastructure software products and can help add value to better address the specific business requirements of our mutual customers."
