MaintenanceNet is Chosen by QUALCOMM for Maintenance Contract Management
Business Wire, July 25, 2005
CARLSBAD, Calif. -- MaintenanceNet, Inc., the leading provider of maintenance contract management services, today announced that QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM) a leader in the wireless industry, will be using its web-based application to manage their IT maintenance and support contracts. QUALCOMM integrated the MaintenanceNet solution in an effort to centralize, manage, analyze and report on their current and outstanding IT maintenance contracts.
"QUALCOMM IT is continuously looking to improve business processes that reduce cost as well as better leverage and effectively manage our IT infrastructure," said Doug Crawford, IT Procurement Manager for QUALCOMM. "Without a single system of record, real-time communications and the ability to validate our purchases and support with our suppliers, contract information can be suspect for complete accuracy. QUALCOMM IT has selected MaintenanceNet as the mutual maintenance contract management solution for QUALCOMM IT and our suppliers."
MaintenanceNet's web-enabled application for maintenance contract management provides anytime-anywhere access to an online system for managing IT service contracts. MaintenanceNet touches the entire supply chain by bringing all suppliers through a third-party portal. Companies can manage supplier contracts through a single system with regular analysis of contract performance therefore reducing man hours, delivering business intelligence, and allowing them to make decisions that will drive costs down and improve operational efficiencies.
MaintenanceNet uses a data aggregation engine to unite disparate data sources and initiate processes to normalize contract information, creating a communication conduit between the equipment manufacturer, distributor, value-added reseller and enterprise clients. Key features include:
--Automatic email notifications grant foresight into what is up for renewal, close to expiration, or expired. This valuable feature facilitates maintenance contract sales forecasting and assures all assets are supported.
--The comparison reporting tool empowers companies to balance their own internal systems against their suppliers, generating a complete customized audit of inaccuracies. As a result, all discrepancies are worked through the supply chain using the MaintenanceNet tool to synchronize the data.
Easy to implement, MaintenanceNet works directly with equipment manufacturers to gather contract data necessary to populate the service. MaintenanceNet then combines the manufacturers' data with applicable information from each party in the supply chain, establishing a standard system of record which accurately reflects the maintenance purchased. By integrating with internal asset management systems, MaintenanceNet aggregates and normalizes the internal data with that of the supply chain, and provides a complete portfolio view of multi-party, multi-vendor contract data to the end-client.
