Globecomm Systems Executes International Distributor Agreement with Scientific-Atlanta

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. -- Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM), a global provider of end-to-end satellite-based communications solutions, announced today that it has executed an international distributor agreement that will enable it to continue to work with Scientific-Atlanta, Inc. to bring new technology to video, data and voice enterprise networks.
Pursuant to the agreement, Globecomm will have the ability to market and promote new and existing products and systems designed to expand the efficiency and effectiveness of enterprise video, data and voice satellite networks. Many enterprise networks, sometimes referred to as business or private networks have been in service since the late 1980s and early 1990s. These networks are prime candidates for upgrades or replacement systems using the new products and applications from Scientific-Atlanta.
