Digital River Manages Trend Micro's E-Commerce Operations in Japan

MINNEAPOLIS -- Digital River, Inc. (NASDAQ:DRIV), a global leader in e-commerce outsourcing, today announced that it signed an expanded e-commerce agreement with Trend Micro, Inc. (TOKYO:4704)(NASDAQ:TMIC), a global leader in antivirus and content security. Based on the agreement, Digital River built and launched a fully localized e-commerce site to support Trend Micro's online sales operations in Japan. In addition to handling Trend Micro's expanded Japanese site, Digital River will continue to host Trend Micro's existing North American and European online stores as well as merchandise and deliver Trend Micro's software titles into its e-commerce network of more than 600 online retailers.

"Trend Micro's Japanese online store utilizes some of our key global capabilities, including Asian double-byte characters, and currencies and numeric values. Along with our local partners, we continue to work diligently to offer a comprehensive solution for companies interested in further developing online businesses in the Japanese market."
Digital River built Trend Micro's Japanese e-commerce site, accessible via http://www.trendmicro.com or http://shop.trendmicro.co.jp, to meet key localization and cultural requirements important to Japanese consumers as well as small and medium business users. The online stores feature Japanese versions of some of Trend Micro's leading software titles, including Trend Micro Virus Buster 2005, among others. Payment processing is performed in the Japanese Yen and supports other preferred on- and off-line payment methods. Digital River also is providing fraud prevention screening, digital software delivery, physical product fulfillment through local agencies and strategic e-marketing services.
