Business Wire, July 27, 2005
HONOLULU -- Commercial Data Systems, Inc. (CDS), a specialized IT systems integrator, today announced an agreement with BEA Systems (NASDAQ: BEAS) to resell the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform(TM), which includes the BEA WebLogic Server(TM), BEA WebLogic Integration(TM), BEA WebLogic Portal(TM) and BEA WebLogic Workshop(TM).
CDS' vertical market expertise -- specifically in the areas of government, retail, healthcare and publishing -- as well as its established presence in Hawaii, New Mexico, Washington, D.C., Texas, Colorado and Florida, complements the existing BEA sales channel.
CDS solutions are designed to provide customers with complete technology solutions, taking them from design and procurement to installation and testing. BEA provides the enterprise software foundation that is designed to help enable customers to benefit from service-oriented architectures through greater re-use of IT assets, faster delivery of value to the business, and greater adaptability to support ongoing change.
As a BEA reseller, CDS can help provide differentiated solutions designed to help customers save time and money by leveraging existing and future IT assets and provide access to information while helping to eliminate unnecessary complexity.
"We pride ourselves on offering our customers solutions that are among the best the industry can offer and BEA's WebLogic Enterprise Platform fits the bill," said Mark Gilbert, vice president, sales and marketing, CDS. "By combining our security expertise and background in business application consulting with BEA's proven expertise in service-oriented architecture, we can now offer our customers an infrastructure solution that is designed to address both their security and compliance needs."
"We're pleased CDS is expanding the reach of its solutions practice by reselling the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform," said Robert Ontiveros, senior vice president of Americas Channels and Alliances for BEA Systems. "CDS' offerings complement the BEA application infrastructure software products and can help add value to better address the specific business requirements of our mutual customers."
