World Energy® Announces the August 26th 2005 Launch of Its New Seminar 'The Next El Dorado'

Business Wire,  July 27, 2005

HOUSTON -- Investing in oil and gas has frequently been misunderstood. Rightly or wrongly, it has often been associated with monetary loses and complete confusion. However, oil and gas investments are some of the best places to find significant financial windfalls. The need has always been to understand the nature of the industry.

In response to this need, World Energy Educational Programs, a division of World Energy magazine, which has for the last nine years provided an unedited forum for the leadership of the global energy industry, presents "The Next El Dorado, a detailed explanation of Oil and Gas prospects and investing" to help investors learn about the world of oil and gas and the mysteries that lead to its development.

The highly anticipated seminar will feature an in-depth discussion of oil and gas related topics by Professor Michael J. Economides, Dr. Amiel David, Professor Christine Ehlig-Economides, Bill Chesser, Professor Mark Haedicke, and Sean Hugo.

Professor Michael J. Economides, of the University of Houston, is one of the most instantly recognizable names in the energy industry. Frequently seen on television and advisor to governments and national oil companies. He has written or co-written over 200 journal papers and articles and 11 books, including The Color of Oil. He has worked in senior technical and managerial positions for national oil companies and Fortune 500 companies in over 70 countries.

Dr. Amiel David is the President and Chief Operating Officer of the publicly traded company, Dune Energy, Inc. He has over 30 years of extensive national and international experience in the technical and financial energy sectors. He has also authored over 25 papers and has been invited to make presentations at several energy related conferences.

Sean Hugo, a Principal with Petroleum Accounting Consultants. His experiences include working for renowned companies such as the Super Independent, Devon Energy and KPMG, one of the largest accounting firms in the world.

World Energy Education Programs' new seminar, "The Next El Dorado," will give investors the knowledge they need to fully understand oil and gas investment.

"Looking at the price at the pump, or on one's gas bill you can choose to complain about high prices or get involved in the solution. This seminar will act as the perfect guidebook for investors looking to buy into the oil and gas investment realm," said World Energy CEO Richard Loomis. "With oil prices likely to stay at high levels for the foreseeable future, everyone should be considering these types of investments."

The first in the Six city tour will be in San Diego, California at the San Diego Marriott, La Jolla. Other sponsors include the San Diego Daily Transcript and Daystar Oil and Gas.
