BOSTON -- "Information Protection in Regulated Industries" Seminar to be held on June 15th, at Microsoft Corporation in Waltham
North Chelmsford-based Concordant, Inc., a provider of IT infrastructure and security solutions for clients in regulated industries, today announced that it will collaborate with New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, Inc., Magenic Technologies, Inc., Software Spectrum, Inc., and Network Engines, Inc., for a FREE half-day event, called "Information Protection in Regulated Industries." The event will take place on June 15th, at Microsoft Corporation in Waltham, MA (230 3rd Ave., Waltham, MA), beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Attendees will gain knowledge of the key success factors and best practices in information security, as well as learn ways to meet ever-changing regulatory compliance requirements, and make improvements to enterprise productivity. They will also explore Microsoft technology infrastructure solutions, ranging from Rights Management Service (RMS), Windows 2003, Exchange 2003, and Concordant's own CompliantPortal(TM), which was built based on Microsoft technology.
"The value of this seminar is that it will present a roadmap for customers seeking to secure their Microsoft-based applications to meet regulatory standards as they change over time," said Sean Megley, Practice Director of Regulatory Compliance at Concordant.
Workshops will be held throughout the day and facilitated by local technology leaders. Megley will discuss technology solutions, including Concordant's own CompliantPortal(TM). Mark Caron, former CIO of Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts and Wisconsin, will lead a discussion about Protection Business Issues.
"We are excited about working with these leading technology partners," said Chris Winn, Microsoft's Strategic Security Advisor. "Their combined expertise coupled with Microsoft's business products provides a truly unique and integrated solution." Winn will facilitate a workshop on Rights Management Service (RMS) during the event.
The seminar will conclude with a lunchtime barbeque featuring the "Microsoft Across America" RV--a 42-foot Mobile Technology Center loaded with Microsoft platform and MBS solutions. Attendees will also have the chance to qualify for prizes, such as a complementary IT infrastructure design review or security and compliance audit worth $5,000, two-for-one course offerings from New Horizons, and more.
