Wavecrest PCI Express Compliance & Advanced Diagnostic Toolset Featured on the Intel Developer Network for PCI Express Architecture
Business Wire, June 21, 2005
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Solution Includes Signal Integrity Compliance and Diagnostics Tools for 2.5Gb/s PCI Express Data Signals & Reference Clocks
Wavecrest, the leading developer of signal integrity analysis solutions for engineers in design, characterization and the production environment, was honored by having their PCI Express(TM) Compliance and Advanced Diagnostic Toolset displayed as the "Featured Solution" on the Intel(R) Developer Network for PCI Express Architecture Solutions Catalog. The Solutions Catalog is the Member's directory of products and services for developers of PCI Express and related technologies.
"We are very excited to have been able to work with the PCI-SIG organization and PCI Express silicon developers on our PCI Express 1.1 data and reference clock tools," states Dennis Leisz, Wavecrest President and CEO. "Our goals have always been to help silicon developers bring their products to market faster and to give them the confidence that they have the most accurate, repeatable and compliant signal integrity measurement tools in the industry."
The transition from the 66MHz PCI bus to a 2.5Gb/s PCI Express serial data link introduces significant signal integrity design & system challenges. At these high data rates, signal integrity can become the most critical parameter for system long-term reliability. Because of Wavecrest's long standing methodology for correlating from the design test bench to the ATE system, customers will have the ability to characterize their devices quickly and correlate their results in high volume production on virtually every ATE platform including the Credence Sapphire, Teradyne Flex and Advantest OPENSTAR systems.
During the debug and characterization phase, it can be nearly impossible to accurately test the signal integrity of devices that run asynchronous to ATE system timing, but with the SIA family's hardware and Gigaview(TM) software tools, asynchronous device testing is possible for true compliance to today's demanding specifications.
