LAS VEGAS -- Advanced Cisco Authorized Curriculum On WLAN Design and Security; In-Depth Cisco Integrated Wireless Design, Layer 2 and Layer 3 Roaming and More...
GigaWave Technologies today announced the most advanced Cisco focused wireless LAN training entitled Aironet Wireless LAN Advanced Topics (AWLAT). For the first time, IT professionals who specialize in 802.11 technologies can receive an advanced understanding of Cisco Integrated Wireless design and integrating access points into wired infrastructure including the Cisco Secure ACS, WLSE and the Series 6500 switch with the WLSM module.
The new training is a 4-day course and includes extensive instructor assisted, hands-on labs. Classes begin in July 2005 and are open for registration. To register or view a detailed course description, go to www.giga-wave.com.
Upon completion, students will be able to configure Cisco components to create a Cisco Integrated Wireless Network, determine the necessary processes to manage the WLAN with the CiscoWorks WLSE, utilize location manager to create and monitor the radio coverage of the WLAN, determine the best practices for implementing security on an enterprise-scale integrated wired and wireless network, describe the processes used by the WLSM and Supervisor Engine 720 and understand the procedures to implement a Layer 3 roaming in a WLAN.
"As the wireless LAN market and technologies mature, there has been a growing demand for an advanced 802.11 course," said Chris Marco, president of GigaWave Technologies. "This course gives WLAN engineers the knowledge to understand and fully utilize the advanced capabilities of a Cisco WLAN as they deploy, maintain and secure a complex enterprise-wide network."
The AWLAT class was developed jointly by Cisco Systems, Inc. and GigaWave Technologies. As a Cisco Learning Partner, GigaWave is dedicated exclusively to developing and delivering curriculum on the Cisco wireless technologies. The company will also teach the new AWLAT courseware.
