Net2Auction Expanding eBay Drop-Off Services to Orange County, Calif.; Net2Auction is a Leading Provider of Auction Drop-Off Services
Business Wire, June 22, 2005
LAS VEGAS -- Net2Auction Inc. (Pink Sheets: NAUC) today announced that it is expanding its eBay drop-off services to Orange County, Calif., via execution of an agreement for its first eBay drop-off location in that county.
This agreement marks commencement of Net2Auction's first expansion outside of its home territory of San Diego County, Calif., and is indicative of its endeavor to reach its goal of 75 eBay drop-off locations by the end of 2005 throughout Southern California and across the nation.
The company expects to have the first of Net2Auction's Orange County eBay drop-off centers, located at a pack-and-ship center in Laguna Hills, Calif., ready to begin accepting eBay drop-off orders within the next few weeks. Orange County, with more than 2,980,000 residents according to the U.S. Census Bureau, ranks as California's second-largest county.
Delmar Janovec, president of Net2Auction, noted, "We have built a commanding presence in San Diego County, and are now beginning expansion into Orange County, Calif., and beyond. This agreement marks an important development for Net2Auction, as this will become our first eBay drop-off location outside of our home territory.
"We believe we have developed a solid 'cookie-cutter' approach to establishing eBay drop-off locations, and we plan to continue deploying our services throughout Southern California and nationwide. Between Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties alone, we can tap into a market of nearly 16 million people.
"Estimated to be a $30 billion annual industry, we believe we are targeting a market with immeasurable opportunity. Management believes that we are facing what could be one of the greatest growth opportunities of this decade," Janovec concluded.
Net2Auction's entrance into Orange County is subsequent to the company announcing expansion objectives to deploy its eBay drop-off services nationwide. The company originally set its goal of 50 eBay drop-off locations, but given the company's progress to date, Net2Auction has revised its expansion plans to include 75 eBay drop-off locations by the end of 2005.
