Clear Channel Radio to Offer Expanded Roster of Exclusive Programs as Podcasts

Business Wire, June 23, 2005

SAN ANTONIO -- Clear Channel (NYSE:CCU)

--Feeds to Include Celebrity and Rock Star Interviews, Most-Wanted Phone Pranks and Comedy Sketches

Clear Channel Radio today announced that following the successful podcast debut of WHTZ-FM Z100's "Phone Tap," the company will expand its portfolio of podcast feeds. In less than two weeks of the "Phone Tap" segment being available, 20,500 pieces of content have been delivered via podcast, download or stream from America's most listened to radio station's Web site. Clear Channel Radio's accelerated roll-out of its podcasting initiative will provide nearly 20 new feeds of popular on-air content from 12 more stations, with an additional 10 expected to launch later this week.

"The early results from Z100's 'Phone Tap' validated our theory -- there is a huge appetite for station-created, short-form content via multiple-delivery formats," said Evan Harrison, executive vice president of Clear Channel Radio and head of the company's Online Music & Radio unit.
