Invisible Fence Northwest Offers Free Installation for National Take Your Dog to Work Day; More Seattle Businesses Rely on Invisible Fence to Keep Pets Safe at Work

Business Wire, June 23, 2005

SEATTLE -- Invisible Fence(R) Northwest, the leading supplier of electronic pet containment systems, today announced a $100 discount for systems used in Seattle workplaces in recognition of National Take Your Dog to Work Day, June 24. The offer is available exclusively to business customers through July 23.

"We've long been the leading supplier of pet containment systems for Puget Sound families, but our systems are increasingly installed in offices and jobsites," said Randy Bates, Invisible Fence(R) Northwest general manager. "You can't erect a fence in the workplace. From Seattle offices and boutiques to Snohomish gravel pits and boat yards, our systems are working to keep dogs, workers and customers coexisting peacefully. By offering a discount to new business customers, we hope to extend the region's trend as a pet-friendly place to live and work."

With more than 20,000 Puget Sound customers, Invisible Fence(R) Brand systems are used by increasing numbers of Seattle-area businesses. The systems contain pets through training and reinforcement with wireless collars that emit a light correcting signal if a pet strays into a dangerous area. Invisible Fence(R) Brand has been found more effective than traditional fences and more humane than tethering or chaining pets outside.

Seattle Dogs Go to Work with Invisible Fence

Kendon Yacht Service on Lake Union, a Seattle-based builder of premium and luxury boats, wanted a safe way to bring the shop's Maltese puppy, Molly, into work each day. John McBain, the company owner, worked with Invisible Fence(R) Brand to keep his dog safe in a hard hat environment by separating her from construction areas with electronic containment.

The Pink Alligator, an upscale women's clothing store in Bellevue, sought a way to keep the store's Yorkshire terrier, Spike, from getting out while allowing customers in. After years of chasing Spike down NE 8th Ave. in Bellevue, the owner worked with Invisible Fence(R) Brand to keep her dog away from the store's door and other points of egress.

Unlike traditional fencing, the Invisible Fence(R) Brand boundary goes virtually anywhere -- through hilly terrain, wooded areas, under water and across the driveway -- at a fraction of the cost of traditional fencing. Combined with training, dogs learn to safely and happily stay within boundaries. And, Invisible Fence(R) Brand systems can also section off and protect pools, gardens or other landscaping to help maintain the integrity of existing landscaping.
