Business Wire, June 23, 2005

SAN FRANCISCO -- Team Bingham and The Tom Burnett Foundation today announced the launch of the first annual Run to Remember 9-11 10K Run & 5K Run/Walk on September 11, 2005. The race, which is being presented by Fidelity Investments, benefits 9-11 charities, Team Bingham and The Tom Burnett Foundation.

The race is intended to honor and remember the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001. Throughout the event, participants will have an opportunity to recall memories, share stories and feelings, and help the world never forget what happened on that important day.

The race will start in Agua Vista Park, Mission Bay, San Francisco and end in Justin Herman Plaza. The race will take runners and walkers along the San Francisco Bay through the streets of San Francisco. Along the way, runners will run on the Embarcadero and past such famous sites as SBC Park, the Bay Bridge, the recently restored Ferry Building, Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach, and the Transamerica Pyramid. Runners also will have views of Alcatraz, Angel Island, the Presidio and the Golden Gate Bridge.

The race benefits two charities with direct ties to the September 11 tragedy. Team Bingham is a nonprofit organization devoted to honoring the memory of Mark Bingham, one of the heroes of Flight 93. Through the Mark Bingham Leadership Fund, it assists with university tuition and expenses to young men and women who reflect Mark's qualities of leadership, scholarship, and sociability.

The Tom Burnett Family Foundation honors Tom's life and courageous efforts aboard Flight 93. It is dedicated to helping the young people of our nation become good citizens and future leaders of tomorrow, including an educational program to equip middle school students with the tools to be active citizens.

The 10K race is open to runners. The 5K race is open to all levels of runners and walkers. Online registration is now available at the Run to Remember Web site at www.r2r911.org.

Early registration (through August 1) is $30.00 for adults. Standard registration (August 2-September 8) is $35.00. Onsite race day registration is $40.00 for adults.
