Arbortext and acrolinx Partnership Raises the Bar for Global Documentation Quality; Alliance Integrates Language Quality Assurance Tool with Enterprise Publishing Software
Business Wire, June 28, 2005
ANN ARBOR, Mich. & BERLIN -- Arbortext, the leading provider of enterprise publishing software, and acrolinx, the leading provider of quality assurance tools for technical documentation, today announced a technology partnership. The companies are offering a joint solution that integrates acrolinx's information quality assurance software, acrocheck(TM), with Arbortext's authoring software.
The new solution is aimed at companies that produce technical documentation in multiple languages. The joint technologies enable companies to create content that is easier to understand and translate by ensuring that authors comply with style, grammar, language and spelling standards as they write. Companies that deploy these technologies are able to publish documentation in less time while increasing its consistency and quality--particularly if they compete globally and must produce multi-lingual documents.
"Enterprise publishing helps companies serve global markets by streamlining their authoring, translation and publishing process. The acrolinx product makes translation easier by helping authors write simpler and more consistent information," said PG Bartlett, Vice President of Product Marketing at Arbortext. "Combining Arbortext with acrolinx technology results in the faster availability of information, lower costs and fewer support calls due to misunderstood documentation."
"Enterprise publishing is a roadmap for successfully producing global information," said Andrew Bredenkamp, CEO at acrolinx. "Our partnership with Arbortext is built on a shared vision of global publishing, and our products combine years of field-tested experience."
