Respected Business Educator Wieckowski Heads Arcadia's New Accelerated MBA Program with International Perspective

Business Wire, June 28, 2005

GLENSIDE, Pa. -- Dr. Thomas J. Wieckowski has been named the founding director of Arcadia University's Master's of Business Administration Program. He joins Arcadia after serving 10 years as director of the MBA program at Drexel University.

Dr. Wieckowski has extensive management and teaching experience in business education and has written widely on the subject in business and professional publications. During his tenure at Drexel, he was instrumental in initiating new credit and non-credit programs as well as new off-campus sites, including the Great Valley Consortium. He also conceived, developed and directed the Techno MBA Online Program, which was named one of the top 25 online MBA programs by U.S. News & World Report.

Matching Arcadia's global perspective, Dr. Wieckowski also has experience in international education as he developed and conducted the International Business Seminar program in London and Paris. That experience is important as Arcadia's Master's of Business Administration (MBA) degree is designed with an international perspective. This accelerated 20-month program is Arcadia's response to what business-minded people and executives need most today: real-world learning from around the globe that helps them think strategically, use information advantageously, and lead effectively in a diverse and complex global business environment. Two international business immersion experiences, which make this degree distinctive from others in the region, will include on-site business study opportunities in both a developed and a developing country. In addition, the program emphasizes information management as a tool in decision-making.
