Sysmex America Implements Online Education to Support Customer Audience; Diagnostics Manufacturer Aims to Reach, Educate, and Continually Support Customers and Employees
Business Wire, June 28, 2005
BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Knowledge Anywhere, Inc. today announced it has developed a custom, online learning solution for Sysmex America, Inc., a Mundelein, Ill.-based international manufacturer of clinical diagnostic systems for medical laboratories. The development and deployment of this program marks Sysmex's first e-learning program.
Sysmex approached the Bellevue-Wash.-based company with the desire to develop a course which provides an introduction and overview to its XE-2100(TM) and XT-2000i(TM) hematology analyzers. The purpose of the e-learning program is to ensure that new instrument owners gain a basic knowledge about Sysmex instrumentation before attending classes at the Sysmex Training Center. This online pre-training allows trainers to focus on more advanced topics and condense classroom sessions. E-learning also allows for continuing education and training of new laboratory staff via the Internet to a virtually limitless audience.
"We want our customers to have a reliable, secure method of accessing information that is user-friendly and totally accessible -- 24-hours-a-day, seven-days a week. The Knowledge Anywhere team was able to deliver what we envisioned and more," said Felix Mendigutia, training director of Sysmex America, Inc.
Sysmex's online education solution aims to:
--Allow laboratory technologists to access targeted information and job aids to learn at their own pace and in their own space.
--Provide consistent, relevant information to clinical laboratories throughout North America.
--Empower customers, employees and distributors to be self-reliant, thereby streamlining classroom training, field service visits and customer service center calls.
--Quantify course work results to ensure an understanding of the theory and operation of Sysmex instrumentation.
--Provide continuing education units in the clinical laboratory sciences for the ASCLS (The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science) P.A.C.E.(R) (Professional Acknowledgement for Continuing Education) Program.
Knowledge Anywhere, Inc., a leader in building technology-based learning solutions, has established expertise in the clinical diagnostics industry through their construction of several comprehensive online education sites for Dade Behring, one of the largest clinical diagnostic companies in the world.
"Our team is exceptionally unique amongst e-learning developers. Our experience building expansive online learning sites in the clinical diagnostics industry, combined with our ability to internationalize those sites, make us the perfect partner for a multinational firm requiring localized content," says Bill Strelke, executive vice president of Knowledge Anywhere, Inc. "Our solution has proven to be an extremely cost-effective way for organizations to reach across borders and educate their clients, resellers and employees, in each person's relevant time zone, language, even uniquely customized to the particular culture."
