JBoss Announces Solution Certification Program for Sun's Solaris 10 Operating System; JBoss Platform on Solaris 10 for SPARC®, x86 and x64 Assures Interoperability and Time to Market for End Customers

SAN FRANCISCO -- JBoss(R), Inc., the Professional Open Source company, today announced an agreement with Sun Microsystems, Inc. aimed at certifying Sun enterprise-class servers with the JBoss Application Server. Sun becomes a Premier level partner in the JBoss Certified Solution Partner Program, which is focused on optimizing third-party technologies on the JBoss platform to offer enterprise customers certified solutions that will jumpstart application development and deployment.

Within its engineering labs, JBoss has tested and certified specific configurations of Sun's SPARC(R), x86 and x64 systems running Solaris 10 with the JBoss Application Server, the market-leading open source Java EE application server. As a JBoss partner, Sun will have access to engineering resources supporting solution certification, as well as the JBoss self-certification tool kit used to evaluate the environment, implementation, performance and integration of Sun enterprise-class servers running with JBoss.
