E&S Digistar 3 Debuts in Science Center at TAMIU — Laredo, Texas

SALT LAKE CITY -- Evans & Sutherland Computer Corp. (E&S(R)) (Nasdaq: ESCC) today announced the installation of a Digistar(R) 3 system at the new Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) Lamar Bruni Vergara Science Center in Laredo, Texas. The Science Center, which officially opened in April, adds 79,000 square feet of state-of-the-art science labs and offices. The new building houses 30 new labs, 43 faculty offices, and a fantastic planetarium. Evans & Sutherland supplied the Digistar 3, a 40-foot planetarium dome, a digital surround-sound audio system, an LED cove lighting system, and a Digistar 3 Producer show production system.
"With Digistar 3 in the new planetarium, our students are able to explore the universe with a level of detail and realism never before possible," said Dr. John Winfrey, planetarium director and assistant professor, physical sciences.
