300 Volunteers Make an IMPACT in Charlotte Community

Business Wire, June 3, 2005

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- James H. Quigley, Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, and LifeSpan participants Corey and Tej paint landscaping pavers at one of LifeSpan's facilities in Charlotte as part of IMPACT Day, Deloitte's national day of community service. Nearly 300 employees with the Charlotte practice of Deloitte & Touche USA LLP set aside their regular work for the day to participate in a variety of landscaping, painting, cleaning and renovation projects at four Charlotte non-profit organizations, including LifeSpan, a not-for-profit organization that helps children and adults with developmental disabilities by providing education, employment, and enrichment opportunities that promote inclusion, choice, and family support services.

Nearly 20,000 Deloitte employees nationwide participated in IMPACT Day.
