Sage Telecom Announces Appointment of Terry W. Lewis as President and Chief Operating Officer

ALLEN, Texas -- Terry W. Lewis has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Sage Telecom, Inc.

Mr. Lewis has over 23 years of experience in the communications industry, most recently as Group Senior Vice President-International Operations for Verizon Communications. Lewis also served as President of GTE Telecommunications Inc. (TSI), was Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for GTE Wireless and held several senior positions in marketing, operations and finance for GTE Telephone Operations.

Lewis assumes responsibility for Sage's day-to-day operations while former President, Dennis M. Houlihan, retains his role as Chairman of the Board and CEO. Mr. Houlihan is credited with growing the company at phenomenal rates -- including an initial five-year revenue growth rate of 69,914%.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University.
