Niku Wins ''Best Vendor'' And ''Best PPM Strategy'' Awards at Project and Portfolio Management Summit
Business Wire, June 30, 2005
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Niku Corporation (Nasdaq:NIKU), the global leader in IT Management and Governance (IT-MG) solutions, today announced that it received the "Best Vendor" and "Best PPM Strategy" awards at the 2005 Gartner Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Summit North America, held June 26-28 in Boston. These prestigious awards were based on a vote of the attendees at this leading PPM event.
The Gartner Project and Portfolio Management Summit focused on the application of Project and Portfolio Management for IT Management and Governance. The event brought together key decision makers, Gartner analysts and leading PPM vendors. The attendees spent three intensive days exploring PPM best practices, results and solutions. The attendees then voted on the awards at the conclusion of the event.
"We are deeply honored to win the 'Best Vendor' and 'Best PPM Strategy' awards at the Gartner PPM Summit," said Josh Pickus, CEO of Niku. "These awards are particularly gratifying as the award winners are determined by votes of the attending IT executives. In addition, Niku has now won 'Best Vendor' at the past three PPM Summits, a meaningful recognition not just of our solutions, but also our services, support, vision and thought leadership."
Niku was also awarded "Best Vendor" and "Best Solution" at the Gartner PPM Summit Europe in December 2004 and "Best Vendor" at the Gartner PPM Summit North America in July 2004.
In addition, Niku was positioned in the Leader quadrant in the Gartner "Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management, 2005" report. To request a complimentary copy of the full research report, please visit http://www.niku.com/go/analysts
