Capgemini Nederland B.V. and JBoss to Provide a Safe Choice for Open Source in Europe; Systems Integrators Seeing Demand for Reliable Open Source Solutions from Customer Base
Business Wire, June 6, 2005
ATLANTA -- JBoss, Inc., the Professional Open Source company, today announced that Capgemini Nederland B.V., one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has become a JBoss(R) Certified Systems Integrator, part of the newly announced JBoss Certified Partner Program. The strategic partnership will allow Capgemini Nederland B.V. to provide enterprise-class consulting and training, and to deliver production-ready projects to customers deploying on the JBoss Application Server.
Under the agreement, JBoss has already begun to train and certify Capgemini consultants in the Netherlands with the skills needed to offer integration and migration projects to its customers within the Benelux countries. Initially the partnership will cover services around the JBoss Application Server; however, as demand grows, this will expand to include the full JBoss Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS)(TM).
"Capgemini's partnership with JBoss really underpins the strategy behind our open source practice; to provide highly functional and flexible open source solutions that are proven to perform within the high-pressure environments that our customers operate in," said Henk Kolk, alliance manager, Capgemini Nederland B.V. "We have spent a while developing our open source strategy and we are now in a position to chase customers."
"As a JBoss Certified Systems Integrator, Capgemini Nederland B.V. has demonstrated its commitment to providing customers with the best open source solutions available in the market today and clearly paved the way for enterprises throughout Europe to choose open source as the safe option," commented Marc Fleury, chairman and CEO of JBoss, Inc. "Capgemini's customers can be confident that their solutions have been built on and backed by Professional Open Source from the developer level."
Through the JBoss Certified Partner Program, JBoss will help partners accelerate to market, support solutions built on or complementing JEMS and optimize service delivery to the growing number of enterprises shifting from proprietary middleware to a JBoss-based open source middleware strategy. Partners gain access to the JBoss Network(TM), the standard mechanism for JBoss to deliver services to customers, and receive support and training from the core technical experts behind JEMS. The partnership also entitles members to direct indemnification from JBoss and reseller opportunities.
