When: Toshiba's full line of CE 1.8-inch HDD's will ship in
late 2005.
Background: With more than 14 million units shipped worldwide since
2000, Toshiba's 1.8-inch HDD sets the industry standard
for HDDs in the CE space and commands an 85 percent market
share in the 1.8-inch form factor, according to research
firms IDC(a) and Gartner(b). Toshiba is continually

the CE industry, and its latest 1.8-inch HDD model gives
