Capital Automotive REIT Outsources Information Technology Management to Alteritech
Business Wire, March 14, 2005
VIENNA, Va. -- Alteritech, a Vienna, Virginia-based wholly-owned subsidiary of Acumen Solutions focused on infrastructure technology solutions, announced today that Capital Automotive REIT (NASDAQ:CARS) has contracted with the company to manage all of their Information Technology (IT) activities, including support for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Capital Automotive, a leading specialty finance company focused solely on automotive retail real estate, has outsourced server and network monitoring and management, security, and IT support to Alteritech.
Alteritech will employ their AcuCare(R) Managed Services offering to provide 24x7 monitoring and support services. Included in this will be the AcuCare(R) Client Care Web Portal, which provides per device status summary information and uses customized thresholds to highlight potential over-utilization and network outages. This vital information will enable the AcuCare(R) Network Operations Center staff to identify potential critical system events before they impact Capital Automotive's enterprise network.
Tim Strait, President and COO of Alteritech, commented on the outsourcing relationship, "Alteritech is pleased to provide a complete IT management solution to Capital Automotive. Our flexible end-to-end IT infrastructure offering of specialized consulting and comprehensive managed services will ensure that their IT infrastructure is aligned with their business goals and allow them to focus all of their energies on the automotive real estate market."
"Alteritech has played an important role in the establishment and mentoring of critical IT systems and supported our Sarbanes Oxley initiatives," stated David S. Kay, Senior Vice President, CFO, and Treasurer of Capital Automotive. "We are relying upon Alteritech to support our future IT endeavors and enhance our ability to service the needs of our portfolio and clients."
