Business Wire, March 14, 2005
LEXINGTON, Mass. -- Revivio(R), Inc., the leader in continuous data protection (CDP), today announced that its co-founder and CTO, Michael Rowan, will be participating on a panel hosted by the New England Business and Technology Association (NEBATA) entitled, "The Hot Topic in Storage: Information Lifecycle Management." The panel, which will be moderated by John McArthur, group vice president, storage research at IDC, and includes senior executives from EMC and IBM, will take place on Thursday, March 17, 2005 from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at the Deloitte Conference Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
"The ability to backup and, more importantly, restore data and applications in the event of a loss, corruption or disaster is a critical piece of any enterprise organization's ILM strategy," said Rowan. "I am pleased to have been invited to join this panel of technology leaders and industry notables and look forward to the opportunity to discuss with them continuous data protection and how it can be applied in an enterprise's ILM strategy to significantly improve reliability and recoverability while slashing costs."
"An effective Information Lifecycle Management strategy allows organizations to protect and realize greater business value from its information, as well as help it to meet necessary regulatory and compliance laws," said Thomas Hopcroft, president of NEBATA. "We are delighted that an innovator and business leader of Michael's caliber is able to join us on this panel, for what promises to be a very interesting and thought provoking discussion."
In October 2004, Rowan was named one of ten winners of the 7th Annual New England Business and Technology Award. The award is presented annually to individuals who NEBATA identifies as business and technology leaders who exemplify leadership and excellence as well as have made significant contributions to the prosperity of the region.
