Business Wire, March 15, 2005

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. -- AIIM, the international authority on enterprise content management (ECM), is the newest member of the CompTIA Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA (TM)) certification advisory committee.

"The consistent delivery of ECM systems that offer high productivity, compliance to government regulations, and assistance to recover documents following disasters depends on a variety of professionals in diverse job roles who have thoroughly mastered best practices and industry standards," said Pamela Doyle, CDIA , director, Fujitsu Computer Products of America Inc., Imaging Products Group, and chair of the CompTIA CDIA committee. "Closer ties between AIIM and CompTIA CDIA will raise awareness among end users that this industry strongly supports the training and certification of these professionals."

For over 60 years, AIIM has been the leading international organization focused on helping users understand the challenges associated with managing documents, content, and business processes. AIIM provides events and information services that help users specify, select, and deploy ECM solutions to solve organizational problems.

The CompTIA CDIA certification is an internationally-recognized credential acknowledging competency and professionalism in the document management/document imaging industry. A CompTIA CDIA certified individual is a trained professional who possesses the requisite level of knowledge and expertise to successfully plan, specify, and design solutions for the electronic capture, storage, retrieval, and manipulation of vital documents. CompTIA CDIA was launched in 1995. Today, nearly 5,000 professionals around the globe hold the certificate.

Betsy Fanning, director, Standards, Content, and Education has been appointed to represent AIIM on the CDIA committee. "I hope to ensure that AIIM inspired training and validation stays in tune with industry needs as expressed by committee members and to offer the committee insights gained from AIIM's membership and extensive work on standards," said Fanning.
