ORLANDO, Fla. -- High Performance Change Agent Hired to Enhance the Value of Online and Traditional Commerce Services That Improve Selling Opportunities for Manufacturers, Retailers and Resellers

Channel Intelligence, a Florida-based commerce data interchange services company, announced today that Lanny Tucker has joined the company as senior vice president of sales.

A veteran sales executive and change agent with more than 25 years of sales leadership experience, Tucker formally served in leadership roles with The Benchmark Group, Car Parts Technologies, ProSoft, ComputerPREP and Hewlett Packard. He will lead an international, multi-channel sales team committed to enhancing the value of Channel Intelligence's online and traditional commerce services among what is already an impressive client base of manufacturers in the computing, consumer electronics, toys, tools and other industry verticals.

Channel Intelligence, a privately held company based in metro Orlando, develops solutions that improve selling opportunities for more than 100 manufacturers, including many of the Global 500 companies in consumer electronics and computing, such as Canon, FujiFilm, Hewlett Packard, Kodak, LG, Microsoft, Motorola and Samsung. Retail partners that benefit from Channel Intelligence services include Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, RadioShack, OfficeMax, Sears, Target and myriad online comparison shopping search engines, shopping affiliates and value-added resellers (VARs).

Channel Intelligence president and CEO Rob Wight said Tucker's hiring signals a significant step toward establishing Channel Intelligence as the pre-eminent platform for accelerating e-commerce through better, more targeted multi-channel retailing solutions.

"Lanny has a record of excellence with leading high-growth companies through the development of world-class sales teams," Wight said. "He gives us supreme confidence as we move forward in support of our manufacturing and retail clients."

Tucker joined Channel Intelligence last month just prior to the company-sponsored 2005 Channel Summit. That event, hosted in Orlando, brought together industry leaders in manufacturing and retailing to share their insights, challenges and solutions for improving channel collaboration and increasing online and traditional retail sales.

"The Channel Summit was an energizing event for the company, but particularly for a newcomer like me," Tucker said. "Our value to the retail marketplace as a solutions provider came into sharp focus through discussions with our clients and retail partners. The Channel Summit served as an ideal launching pad for exponential growth in 2005 and beyond and we'll work closely with our clients and retail partners to make this a successful year for us all."

Last year, Channel Intelligence was honored by ITFlorida as Florida High Growth Company of the Year for its success with capturing a greater share of its product or service markets, which have now grown beyond computing and consumer electronics to include toys, tools and home improvement.
