SAMSUNG CHOOSES TRIPATH'S CLASS-T AMPLIFIERS TO DRIVE CHAGALL SERIES LCD MONITORS; TA2024 CLASS-T AMPLIFIER POWERS THREE LCD MONITORS IN CHAGALL SERIES

Tripath Technology Inc. (Nasdaq:TRPH), creators of Class-T(R) 1-bit digital audio amplifiers, is pleased to announce that Samsung will use the TA2024 to drive the Chagall(TM) line of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Monitors. The Chagall line of high-end monitors features 32, 40, and 46-inch models. They are ideal for multimedia, videoconferencing and commercial signage applications.

The TA2024 provides up to 15 watts (stereo, 2 ohm load) of high efficiency audio power. The TA2024 operates with an efficiency of up to 90% and generates 1/8 the heat of a traditional amplifier in normal operation. This huge increase in efficiency allows display makers like Samsung to provide ample power without needing to add bulky heat sinks. Class-T technology allows for this increased efficiency without sacrificing sound quality, the TA2024 maintains less then 0.05% THD N.

"We are pleased to be working with Samsung on new products," says George Fang, Tripath's VP of Sales. "The TA2024 is a perfect fit for applications like the Chagall Monitors, it packs plenty of clean audio power into a small space," Mr. Fang added.
