British Sugar Chooses Redline Networks to Improve Performance of Its PeopleSoft ERP Application
Business Wire, March 21, 2005
CAMPBELL, Calif. -- Redline Speeds Web Application Response Time by Up to 50 Percent and Improves the User Experience
Redline Networks, Inc., a company that designs and manufactures network appliances that maximize the performance, availability and security of Web-enabled applications, today announced that British Sugar, the biggest supplier of sugar in the United Kingdom, has chosen Redline's E|X application front end network appliance to improve the performance of British Sugar's Web-based PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne ERP system. The Redline E|X appliance speeds Web application response time by up to 50 percent and improves consistency and reliability for the company's 200 employees accessing the application from 10 remote sites.
According to British Sugar, users also report more consistent and seamless transfers to different parts of the system with the Redline E|X appliance. British Sugar intends to use the Redline E|X solution with other Web-based applications and to provide caching functionality.
"Many companies using complex, Web-based enterprise applications, such as ERP systems, find that their existing infrastructure cannot cope with the extra demands being placed on it and only expensive remedial action can address the issue," said Craig Stouffer, vice president, marketing at Redline Networks. "Redline's E|X appliance enhances reliability, reduces IT running costs and mitigates the need to purchase expensive hardware."
