Dwango's Rolling Stone Trivia Game Rocks!; Trivia from the Most Authoritative Voice in Music, Delivered Right to Your Mobile Phone
Business Wire, March 21, 2005
SEATTLE -- Dwango(R) Wireless (OTCBB:DWGN), a leading developer and publisher of mobile entertainment content for top lifestyle brands, today announced the debut of Rolling Stone 20 Questions, a new trivia game now available on certain color, Java(TM)-enabled Nextel phones. Rolling Stone 20 Questions, built on a reusable mobile trivia gaming engine, draws from Rolling Stone's enormous content library and allows players to test their music knowledge with over 600 new questions updated monthly on their mobile phone.
"Dwango is the media company of the future," said Alexander Conrad, President and COO of Dwango Wireless. "We continue to raise the bar in the customization and distribution of top-notch content in the digital mobile entertainment space."
The Rolling Stone Trivia Game features eleven question types, a multiplayer option allowing a user to compete against up to three opponents on the same phone and an online leader board allowing players across the United States to compare overall ranking and statistics, including the number of questions attempted and the average score. Dwango plans to create cross-carriers sweepstakes utilizing the leader board results from Rolling Stone Trivia in the third quarter of 2005.
"Rolling Stone has been the music authority for over 30 years," said James Cole of RollingStone.com. "Now, we're bringing the best of Rolling Stone's archives to the mobile market via one of the most exciting gameplay experiences out there. Dwango's vision, distribution partnerships and marketing savvy are a perfect complement to the Rolling Stone brand."
Dwango debuted Rolling Stone Ringtones, Rolling Stone's first mobile product, in June 2004.
