NEC Solutions America Names Glenn Brower to Lead Sales and Strategy for the Removable Storage Division

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- NEC Solutions (America), Inc., a premier provider of integrated solutions for the Connected Enterprise in North America, announced earlier this year on February 1st, 2005 that Glenn Brower, former director of storage products, has been named the new vice president of NEC Solutions America's Removable Storage Division (RSD).
Brower's transition to this position plays a pivotal role in NEC's strategy to reposition its former Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Division to better reflect the market dynamics of the DVD/disk drive industry. In his new role, Glenn will oversee sales operations and worldwide business interactions with international partners, who have customers based in the U.S. market. In addition, Brower will be responsible for NEC's removable storage product direction and sales strategy to further advocate customer's positions in the Optical Drive market.

Since joining NEC in 1991, Brower has helped lead global optical and magnetic storage sales that have now surpassed the $4 Billion level.
