AmeriCredit Names Manheim's Tennessee Auto Auction as 2004 Auction of the Year

FORT WORTH, Texas -- AmeriCredit Corp. (NYSE:ACF) has named Manheim's Tennessee Auto Auction in Nashville, Tenn., as its 2004 Auction of the Year as part of the nationwide Auction of Excellence program.
"We are delighted to recognize Tennessee Auto Auction as the top-performing auction of the year," said Gayle Pavlicek, senior vice president of Asset Remarketing at AmeriCredit. "During our 10-year relationship, this auction has always gone the extra mile for our company. Such dedication now distinguishes it as AmeriCredit's No. 1 auction in the nation."
The Auction of Excellence program is based on customer service, as well as highest recovery rate. AmeriCredit representatives assess each auction's performance in a variety of categories, including organization of sale, quality of vehicle reconditioning, dealer turnout and average recovery rate for AmeriCredit vehicles. In addition, they evaluate pre-sale services such as vehicle transportation and condition reports.
Tennessee Auto Auction also received the Auction of Excellence award for the second, third and fourth quarters of 2004 for the Southeast region. In addition, the auction was recognized as the regional winner of the year. Tennessee Auto Auction competed with other regional award recipients for this year's national honor. The other 2004 regional winners are:
--Midwest - Columbus Fair Auto Auction in Columbus, Ohio
--Northeast - Harrisburg Auto Auction in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
--Southwest - Lubbock Auto Auction in Lubbock, Texas
--West Coast - Manheim's Portland Auto Auction in Portland, Ore.
