U.S.I. Holdings Corporation Announces Appointment of Vice Presidents of Carrier Relationships, Property & Casualty and Health & Welfare

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- U.S.I. Holdings Corporation ("USI") (Nasdaq: USIH) today announced the appointment of Charles J. Falvey as Vice President Carrier Relations, Health & Welfare and Jeffrey Welsch as Vice President Carrier Relations, Property & Casualty (P&C).
Mr. Falvey's nearly 30 years of professional experience began in sales and sales and account management in health care services and group insurance. He joined USI 1996 as Senior VP and subsequently held the position of President, NY operations and was promoted to National Benefits Practice Leader in 2004. Mr. Welsch's nearly 30 years of professional experience began in claims, account management & sales. He joined USI in 1996 as President of the New York P&C operation and oversaw new business development and the deployment of partnership and compliance efforts with various financial institutions, including the initiation of insurance market relations. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer of USI's New York operation, Senior Vice President of the Northeast Region in charge of Sales and Business Development and most recently as CEO of the Connecticut based P&C and Risk Management Practice.
In their new roles, Mr. Falvey and Mr. Welsch will act as USI's key contacts for external organizations for industry related issues, assist local and regional management in identification, recruiting and development of regional practice leaders as well as identification of new products and services. Additionally, they will work with local management to deliver USI value-added solutions to clients.
Mr. Falvey will continue to serve as a board member and Chair of the Council of Employee Benefits Executives of the CIAB.
