Greenway Medical Technologies Partners with Physician Sales and Services -PSS- for Distribution of Its Ambulatory Software Solution
Business Wire, March 29, 2005
CARROLLTON, Ga. -- Greenway Signs Distribution Agreement with PSS, the Country's Leading Provider of Medical Supplies to Physician Offices, to Provide PSS Clients and Sales Consultants Access to PrimeSuite
Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc., the only established software and service provider of an integrated electronic health record (EHR) and practice management software solution for physicians' practices that utilizes the Microsoft .NET architecture, today announced a business partnership with PSS World Medical. Based in Jacksonville, Fla., PSS is the country's largest provider of medical supplies to the physician marketplace.
With more than 700 sales consultants and 29 service centers, PSS distributes medical supplies to approximately 100,000 physician clients in all 50 states. PSS covers all the needs physicians have, from basic equipment to IT technology, such as EHR solutions. This new distribution agreement will allow both companies to expand product offerings and distribution channels, respectively.
As part of the partnership, PSS will distribute to its physician clients Greenway's PrimeSuite(R) software solution, which integrates the workflow associated with a practice's clinical, financial, and administrative processes. "Over the years, our clients have counted on PSS to provide them with a trusted source for medical supplies and practically everything else used within their medical practice," said Bob Gibson, Vice President of Marketing for PSS. "Given the recognized benefits associated with an EHR, as well as increased emphasis being applied to EHRs at many levels, our clients have been asking for guidance in selection of an EHR in their practices. In response to this increasing demand, we have chosen Greenway as a partner based on the value that Greenway's integrated practice management and EHR products can bring to our clients," continued Gibson.
"This partnership is an excellent opportunity for us to increase our distribution across the country by reaching PSS' established network of physician clients," said Tee Green, Greenway's President and COO. "Working with a company as large as PSS further validates our mission and progress as we work to become the leading provider of ambulatory solutions(TM)."
