Business Wire, March 29, 2005
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine -- Fairchild Semiconductor's (NYSE:FCS) vice president of Technical & Applications Support Center, Rexin Wang, will pose the key energy considerations facing China and the methods for improving power savings and efficiency. His presentation entitled, "Power Management in the 21st Century," to be held on April 12th at IIC China's Power Management Forum, will examine technology solutions to energy challenges impacting the global economy.
Fairchild's booth C35 in Shenzhen, booth C12 in Beijing and booth 8M02 in Shanghai, China, will feature compelling design challenges and solutions in AC/DC, DC/DC, Motor, Lighting and Signal Conditioning applications. These design challenges include:
--The 1Watt Initiative, power factor correction, reducing EMI and minimizing size and weight in AC/DC applications;
--Meeting safety, environmental and energy concerns, cost-efficiency and improving system control in motor applications;
--Design requirements to increase efficiency and performance and improving thermal performance while minimizing size in DC/DC applications;
--Increasing efficiency, improving control and thermal performance and reducing size in ballast and CCFL lighting in lighting applications; and
--Increasing power efficiency and performance and reducing size in consumer devices in signal path applications.
Fairchild will also present "Implementing a Video Switch Matrix for High-Definition Video I/O" by its product marketing manager for Video Products, Jeremy W. Tole. The paper will be presented for the Audio/Video Systems Session on Tuesday, April 5th, Shenzhen; Saturday, April 9th, Beijing and Thursday, April 14th, Shanghai.
This paper will describe an IC solution to address the video switch matrix function along with other components of the analog video signal path, such as clamp circuits, video drivers, and video filters.
