Hungarian Telephone and Cable Announces Filing of Financial Statements of PanTel and Pro Forma Financial Information

SEATTLE -- Hungarian Telephone and Cable Corp. (AMEX:HTC) announced today that it has amended its 8-K filing with the SEC regarding its completion of the PanTel acquisition on February 28, 2005. The amended 8-K filing includes the required financial statements of PanTel as well as the required pro forma financial information.
The amended 8-K filing is available at the SEC's website (www.sec.gov) or through the link to the SEC's website on Hungarian Telephone's website (www.htcc.hu). Hungarian Telephone expects to provide guidance on the financial effect of the PanTel transaction in the near future.
