Magic Lantern Group Enhances Digital Institutional Product InSite-TM-

Business Wire, March 4, 2005

NEW YORK -- --Scalable, Educational Technology Platform Used by More than 50,000 Students--

Magic Lantern Group, Inc. (AMEX: GML), a leading international distributor of educational content and third-generation, digital content and e-delivery solutions, announced today that the Company has completed several enhancements to its institutional e-content delivery, indexing and archiving educational product, Magic Lantern InSite(TM). Key new feature sets integrated into the program include a re-designed interface, including options for users to choose personalized "look-and-feel" options, faster login with "Remember Me" capability, a new getting started guide, improved online help, tool tips to help with common tasks and the capability, important for teachers, to mask or "censor" titles within the library as a whole.

The InSite video library enables teachers and students to search, play and control an expansive collection of nearly 2,000 program titles and more than 14,000 "video objects," indexed portions of video offerings independently accessible for streaming directly into resource centers and classroom desktop screens and projectors. InSite utilizes third generation content management, digital video encoding and indexing solutions based on MLG's proprietary VideoBase(R) indexing tools built by its subsidiary, Sonoptic Technologies. InSite and its U.S. sister platform "The Learning Source" are currently marketed to, and deployed in, schools and school districts across a number of Canadian provinces and U.S. states to a growing number of student users; currently about 50,000 student users monthly.

Magic Lantern Group (MLG) President and CEO Bob Goddard stated, "Classroom teaching for the 21st century is rapidly evolving. Incorporating new technology is more commonplace and competitive; educators and school administrators are increasingly seeking help from suppliers and asking for greater local control as resources get delivered to more classroom desktops. MLG's InSite platform (available in Canada at http://www.magiclanterninsite.com and in the U.S. at http://www.aitlearningsource.net.) offers a user-friendly, classroom-proven technology that is ideally suited for integration into comprehensive learning solutions on school district networks or inside individual schools. We are currently investigating additional improvements that would add lesson planning, robust online delivery options and interactive learning tools to further our position as the premier provider of in-classroom, educational products."

Jeff Lorenz, EVP-Sales & Marketing for MLG, stated, "We are very excited with the latest enhancements to the online interface, expanded feature-set and ongoing content updates. Search and Play video technology is the way of the future. We plan on continuing our efforts to improve InSite to provide the desired combination of the best educational content with a superior user experience."
