Pediatric Cardiology Group Selects Integrated Practice Management and EMR Software from Prime Clinical Systems
Business Wire, March 7, 2005
PASADENA, Calif. -- Pediatric Cardiology Associates of WNY, LLC, Buffalo, NY, is advancing its automation efforts via the implementation of practice management and electronic medical records software from Prime Clinical Systems, Inc., a company that serves medical practices of all sizes and specialties across the country.
"We are looking to turn the page and move on to the next chapter. We have had a practice management system from another vendor for years but we really want to reap the benefits of computerization on both the administrative and clinical sides of the practice," says Deborah Chapman, practice manager. "So, we realized that we needed to bring in an electronic medical records system, but we wanted it all in one integrated package."
The five-physician specialty practice also wanted to work with a vendor that offered:
--systems that are easy for doctors to learn and use on a daily basis
--software that could meet the special needs of a cardiology practice
--superior customer service that supports the implementation and day-to-day utilization of systems
After researching the market, Chapman decided that Prime offered the attributes she was looking for both from a systems and vendor standpoint.
Most important, the Patient Chart Manager electronic medical records system offers the ability to create customized templates that closely align with the needs of pediatric cardiologists, in addition to a superior set of features that includes extensive workflow management, including care planning, charge posting and prescription management. In addition, Prime worked with the medical group to create an interface that allows for the automatic integration of cardiac echocardiography test results into patients' electronic medical records.
The fact that Prime offers exceptional customer service is another reason that Pediatric Cardiology Associates signed with Prime. The practice has been able to rely on one-on-one support from Prime technicians as it implemented the OnSTAFF system in September. The support is again proving beneficial as Pediatric Cardiology prepares to implement the Patient Chart Manager system this spring.
"We develop strong relationships with our customers. That is one of the things that differentiates our company from others on the block," says Barry Ardelan, Prime's CEO. "When you work with Prime, you can rest assured that you will get the individual, expert attention that you need."
Prime will be demonstrating the OnSTAFF and Patient Chart Manager systems in booth 401 at the American College of Cardiology Annual Scientific Session 2005, March 6-8, in Orlando, FL. It was at this meeting last year in New Orleans that Pediatric Cardiology met Prime for the first time.
