BRUYERES LE CHATEL, France -- Distene, formerly Simulog Technologies, has signed a long-term agreement to provide meshing technologies for ABAQUS, a leading provider of software, technology and services for advanced finite element analysis (FEA).

Distene's multi-year agreement with ABAQUS covers delivery of new releases and maintenance of its TetMesh-GHS3D product. Under the agreement, Distene will supply tetrahedral meshing that is a major new feature of the recently released ABAQUS/CAE Version 6.5.

"The new tetrahedral meshing in ABAQUS/CAE, combined with new curvature-based mesh sizing, provides industry-leading performance, robustness and element quality," says Ken Short, vice president of marketing at ABAQUS. "We expect our relationship with Distene to yield many quantifiable benefits for our customers over the next several years."

"We are very pleased to be working with ABAQUS, which has an excellent reputation for technology, quality and reliability," says Laurent Anne, Distene's sales director and co-founder. "We will work closely with the ABAQUS development team to ensure that the meshing technologies embedded in the company's products remain at the industry forefront."
