Security Software Leader, eEye Digital Security, Adds Sales Veteran with Proven Software Expertise to Management Team

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- Vulnerability Management Innovator Appoints Jim Smith as Vice President, Field Sales
eEye(R) Digital Security, a leading developer of vulnerability management software solutions for enterprise security, today announced the addition of Jim Smith to its management team. Mr. Smith, who joins eEye as vice president of field sales, will lead all North American enterprise sales efforts and initiatives.

With over 20 years of experience in the software industry, Mr. Smith has extensive experience in driving high-growth sales and growing market opportunities for multi-million dollar companies. Prior to joining eEye, Mr. Smith was formerly the executive vice president of sales and marketing at Starbase Corporation, growing revenue from $6M to $48M in three years. Mr. Smith was instrumental in facilitating the relationship with Borland Corporation which ultimately acquired Starbase in 2003.
Mr. Smith has also held a variety of executive positions with Select Software, Meridian and Knowledgeware, where he established a track record of leading cultural change and identifying where the business should be positioned to create and enhance value for immediate and future success. Smith has an extensive network of C-level contacts within top-tier industry players, with experience in structuring and closing multi-million dollar transactions.
Smith holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Rhode Island.
