Allstate Launches Identity Theft Expense Coverage

Business Wire, March 9, 2005

Someone has stolen your identity. Now you face legal fees, credit report charges and lost wages while you try to restore your good name. If you're an Allstate customer, you may be in luck. For about 30 dollars a year, you can add identity theft coverage to your homeowners or renters insurance policy. The new plan has no deductible and pays up to 25,000 dollars for covered expenses you incur to restore your identity. And you can even hire someone to do the legwork for you.
