Toshiba's TDP-T40U Mobile Projector Provides High-Quality Performance at an Affordable Price; Priced at $1,399, DLP Projector Offers Superior Functionality and is Ideal for Use in Any Room Size
Business Wire, May 10, 2005
IRVINE, Calif. -- Toshiba's Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. and provider of industry-leading portable computers, projectors and other mobile-related services and products, today introduced the TDP-T40U projector, a high-performance, portable presentation tool for mobile professionals, educators, corporate customers and small-to-medium-sized businesses priced at $1,399(1).
The TDP-T40U mobile projector features a lightweight design and is ideal for presenters who demand quality and portability without sacrificing performance. Its DLP(TM) (digital light processing) technology offers high-quality images and consistency on the screen. Combined with 1,800 ANSI lumens, a razor-sharp contrast ratio of 2000:1 and XGA 1024 x 768 resolution, the TDP-T40U provides enhanced clarity, brightness and color fidelity for an impressive visual impact.
The TDP-T40U includes a wide range of multimedia capabilities and connectivity options such as composite, component and S-video inputs and audio in/out capabilities. A monitor output connector allows users to view presentations from an external display, in addition to what is projected on the screen. This feature allows presenters to face their audience directly, rather than turning around to read slides as they appear on the screen.
"This projector is perfect for professionals who want an attractive, portable projector with all the 'must-have' features at an affordable price," said Alex Ijuin, assistant general manager for Toshiba DPD's Projector Business Unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. "It's also well-suited for those who want to enjoy sports, video games, DVD movies and other entertainment on the weekend."
Weighing only 6.6 pounds(2), users can easily transport the projector in between classrooms, offices or when traveling. The TDP-T40U sports a sleek, eye-catching exterior that is constructed of a metallic silver casing for a professional look and feel. Special features built into the projector include integrated data, video and audio capabilities, as well as a 1-watt speaker for enhanced multimedia effects.
Ready to use out of the box, the TDP-T40U mobile projector incorporates user-friendly features, including one-touch auto set up and a fully loaded remote control for seamless, professional presentations. Users simply plug the projector in and can begin making presentations.
With a whisper quiet fan that runs at approximately 33 dBA (decibel adjusted) in low mode, the projector is designed to not distract the audience.
The Toshiba TDP-T40U is available immediately through Toshiba's enterprise sales team and authorized distributors, dealers, VARs, retailers or mail-order outlets, and at www.toshibadirect.com.
