Personable Inc. Unveils First Cost-Effective Document Management Solution for Intuit's QuickBooks 2005 and 2004
Business Wire, May 10, 2005
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. -- SourceLink(R) Helps the QuickBooks(R) Users Document the QuickBooks Records Electronically
Personable Inc. today announced SourceLink(R), the first cost-effective electronic document management solution for Intuit (Nasdaq:INTU) QuickBooks Pro and Premier Editions 2005 and 2004, and QuickBooks Enterprise Editions. SourceLink delivers a component previously missing in QuickBooks that allows users to link electronic files to their QuickBooks records from within the QuickBooks application itself. SourceLink lets the QuickBooks users instantly file and retrieve financial records -- bills, invoices, customer agreements, etc. -- directly from QuickBooks without other third-party software. SourceLink also lets QuickBooks users attach electronic sticky notes ("MyNote") directly to the 25 different record types at the click of a button.
At a price of $189 per copy, SourceLink offers a solution that can cost thousands of dollars otherwise for QuickBooks users. The user can attach, detach, and view linked documents in QuickBooks with a click of the mouse -- the process of linking documents is as simple as adding an attachment to an e-mail. With SourceLink, users can save time and money by:
--Filing and retrieving documents electronically with any of the 25 different QuickBooks record types
--Drastically improving audit trails and data integrity
--Simplifying compliance with regulatory mandates
--Attaching electronic sticky notes to any of the 25 QuickBooks record types
--Avoiding problems with misfiled, damaged, and lost documents
--Securing and/or sharing attached files with other users
--Accomplishing the above tasks with a well-designed and easy-to-use user interface
"QuickBooks users have long lamented their inability to electronically track all the documents associated with their QuickBooks records cost-effectively," said Benjamin Chou, president of Personable Inc. "For QuickBooks users, the days of searching through files and boxes for documents associated with a transaction are gone. The features of SourceLink will let the user keep track and stay on top of the issues associated with each QuickBooks record."
SourceLink's implementation is simple for any business already using QuickBooks because it operates from a simple user interface within the QuickBooks application. SourceLink runs within multiple company files, and users have the ability to attach existing documents already in the computer, or to attach documents from a scanner.
"The Intuit Developer Network strives to help the best and brightest developers solve the business management challenges small business owners face every day," said Ed Schaffer, business leader of the Intuit Developer Network. "We are pleased to be able to work with innovators like Personable Inc. to offer small businesses specialized applications that will work with the QuickBooks Financial Management Software products. The data integration with SourceLink and the QuickBooks products is an example of how increased efficiencies in managing financial data can give business owners more time to oversee other parts of their business."
