Business Wire, May 11, 2005
BEDMINSTER, N.J. & SEATTLE -- Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider and Reaxion Corporation, a market leading publisher and developer of cutting-edge 3D, 2D and multiplayer mobile games, today announced the availability of Hive of Evil: Alien Strike on Verizon Wireless' Get It Now(R) service. Hive of Evil features an exciting survive and escape scenario where players are alien attack survivors on a research base on the planet Terribilis. Using five different kinds of weapons, gamers will fight their way through the monsters and zombie soldiers, conquering nine game levels in warehouses, laboratories, waste disposal plants and hangars.
Hive of Evil includes a built-in mini map to help players navigate the monster infested research facility. On the way, gamers will locate experimental equipment that makes them invulnerable to monsters or speeds up their weapons. Winners must survive the "hive of evil" and leave the base in an escape shuttle. Players score points by clearing the base of monsters and can compete with friends by using a local hi-score table. Games can be saved and loaded at any time during game-play.
"Hive of Evil offers an interactive environment with hours of game-play featuring destructible objects, automatic doors, acid pools, electric charges and a large variety of monsters," said Nathan Manning, Reaxion's VP of Marketing. "Verizon Wireless' Get It Now service is one of the most successful value-added service brands in the U.S. and Reaxion is dedicated to making sure our games meet their high-quality standards."
