IDG's InfoWorld Increases Size of SOA Executive Forum Event in New York on May 17; High Demand Among Business and Technology Decision Makers Drives Expansion
Business Wire, May 11, 2005
SAN FRANCISCO -- InfoWorld, the leading provider of comprehensive technology intelligence, today announced the availability of additional seats for the second SOA Executive Forum event that takes place on May 17 at Le Parker Meridien Hotel in New York. The first event, on May 5 in San Jose, CA was sold out days before the event. Additional seats in session rooms allow InfoWorld to meet increasing buyer demand for the event among senior technology and business decision makers who focus on the corporate value of evaluating and implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA). Sponsorships are sold out for both events.
The first SOA Executive Forum on May 5 was incredibly well-received and standing room only in many of the session rooms. Content was well-received, with 88% of respondents to the on-site evaluation responding "Excellent" or "Good." As a result of strong response, InfoWorld announced future SOA events in summer and fall, including an SOA series focusing on key vertical markets, such as financial services and healthcare.
In addition to InfoWorld's SOA Executive Forum events, an SOA-focused issue featuring real-world case studies and a dedicated advertising print supplement will be distributed at both shows. Additional resources on SOA are available at InfoWorld.com. Resources include:
--Keynote presentations from Mark Carges, CTO with BEA Systems, and Toby Redshaw, CTO with Motorola
--Recent research conducted by InfoWorld on the SOA market
--Coverage in several InfoWorld Weblogs
--Dedicated SOA Spotlight, featuring InfoWorld content, along with white papers, Webcasts, and other resources from seven sponsors
"SOA is at the early stages of implementation," said Steve Fox, InfoWorld's editor-in-chief. "SOA Executive Forum addresses the opportunities and challenges of implementing SOA in a world where standards are still being defined."
About SOA Executive Forum
InfoWorld's SOA Executive Forum events provide an arena for peers and industry experts to come together and develop informed strategies that ensure successful SOA implementations.
The SOA model represents the biggest change in enterprise IT since the Internet. When applications are treated as services, a transformation in technical approach, IT workflow, and business planning is required.
A winning SOA strategy, resulting in cost savings and a highly flexible application infrastructure, hinges on reliable information from leading technologists and early adopters who have already begun to reap the benefits. Additional information is available at www.soaexecutiveforum.com.
BEA Systems is the cornerstone sponsor of the event. Computer Sciences Corporation and HP are platinum sponsors. Gold-level sponsors include Dante Consulting, Plumtree Software, SOA Software, and Sonic Software.
