Lifecore Recognized as a MNSHARP Worksite by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry

CHASKA, Minn. -- LIFECORE BIOMEDICAL, INC. (NASDAQ:LCBM).

Lifecore Biomedical, Inc. will be presented with MNSHARP Certification at a ceremony to be held on May 17, 2005 at the Chaska headquarters. The presentation will be made by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Commissioner and Safety & Health representatives from the Workplace Safety Consultation Division.

Minnesota Safety and Health Achievement and Recognition Program (MNSHARP) is a Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA) program that recognizes companies where managers and employees work together to develop safety and health programs that go beyond basic compliance with all applicable OSHA standards and result in immediate and long-term prevention of job-related injuries and illnesses.

MNSHARP began in Minnesota in 1996. Lifecore Biomedical, Inc. is one of 16 active MNSHARP worksites in Minnesota.
