Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority ''MARTA'' Awards $7.9 Million Software and Maintenance Contract to MAXIMUS

RESTON, Va. -- MAXIMUS (NYSE:MMS), a leading provider of program management, consulting, and information technology services to government, has been awarded a $7.9 Million software contract by the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). The contract includes the MAXIMUS FASuite(TM), a market-leading transportation Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) application, Oracle E-Business Suite applications, and Optram Inc.'s ORIM(TM) Rail Track Management application.

MARTA is the ninth-largest transit system in the U.S. and with more than 4,000 employees it provides bus, rail, and paratransit service to the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, and DeKalb County. MARTA transports an average of 450,000 passengers daily in a service population of 1,974,400. MARTA operates 556 buses with 118 bus routes covering 986 route miles per day and 25 million miles per year. MARTA also operates 110 paratransit vans on an average of 200,000 hours per year and 338 rail cars serving 38 stations on almost 47 track miles.
MARTA will deploy FASuite(TM) for maintenance and asset management in order to reduce costs, achieve substantial savings, and better manage its assets and infrastructure. The MAXIMUS transportation asset management software solution includes:
--FleetFocus(TM)FA fleet management software solution to manage MARTA's 1,000 vehicle fleet (including revenue and non-revenue vehicles)
--RailFocus(TM) rolling stock software solution to manage MARTA's rail vehicles
--EquipmentFocus(TM) to manage the maintenance of MARTA's facilities
--LinearFocus(TM) to manage MARTA's right-of-way, track, signal and infrastructure assets
--MobileFocus(TM) software for mobile and wireless data-collection, repairs, parts inventory and inspections
--MAXIMUS integrated On-line Parts Catalog (OPC) module (CatBase(TM) from Novalog)
--MAXIMUS integration to Optram's Orim track and signal asset and maintenance visualization solution
When deployed, FASuite(TM) will be fully integrated with the Oracle E-Business Suite(R) Financials and Human Resources solutions, to facilitate the exchange and use of data throughout MARTA.
The MARTA contract adds another marquee name to the MAXIMUS customer base of more than 65 public transportation properties, including Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), King County Metro (Seattle), St. Louis Metro, Houston MetroRail, SEPTA in Philadelphia, New Jersey Transit (NJT), Metrolink in Los Angeles, Calgary Transit, LYNX Orlando, and many others.
